Question of the day: Are there more (a) American-made cars or (b) Priuses in North Berkeley? My informal sampling suggests that they are roughly even.

    My informal study, conducted a few years ago..

    …revealed that there seemed to be a disproportionate number of stick-shift cars in North Berkeley, something like 20% if I recall, which is far above the national average.

    Conclusion? Berkeley-ites are cheap.
